The University of Birmingham is offering a PhD programme in Mechanical Engineering within its School of Engineering. This research-intensive doctoral programme provides candidates with the opportunity to undertake advanced, original research across a broad range of mechanical engineering disciplines. The programme is designed to develop high-level research skills, technical expertise, and innovative thinking, preparing graduates for careers in academia, industry, and research institutions.

Research areas within the programme include, but are not limited to, advanced manufacturing, energy systems, fluid mechanics, solid mechanics, robotics and control, materials engineering, biomechanics, and sustainable engineering technologies. Doctoral researchers will work closely with expert supervisors and research groups, contributing to cutting-edge projects and benefiting from access to state-of-the-art laboratories and facilities.

Eligibility Criteria
