Job Title: Facilities Assistant (Part Time) Salary: £12.60 per hourClosing Date: About the Role
Working Hours - 25 hours per week Monday to Friday 07:00am - 12:00 noon
30 weeks per year
We are seeking a Facilities Assistant to provide a safe and welcoming service for our students, staff and visitors on campus. You will work with the Facilities Supervisor to carry out basic maintenance of our campus and abide by our Health and Safety Policies.
Initially based at Conservatoire, this role is part of a small team responsible for ensuring that teaching and learning activities are able to run effectively. You will primarily be stationed at Leeds Conservatoire but will be expected to work across Mabgate and Quarry Hill occasionally.
What You Will Do
* Setting up of rooms, which include moving furniture for teaching, events and exam requests.
* Assisting the Facilities Supervisor with weekly compliance checks.
* Unlocking and Locking up of the premises including setting of the Intruder Alarm.
* Assist the site team and provide support with the Emergency Evacuation Procedures such as Fire Alarm Activations and any other emergency.
* Support the Facilities Supervisor with on-site contractors and visitors, ensuring an understanding of the College guidelines and procedures.
* Minor repairs.
* Refilling photocopiers and distributing internal and external mail.
* administrative duties
* Assisting the Facilities Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of the groups pupils, staff, visitors, property, premises and facilities.

* English and Maths GCSE or equivalent is essential, along with a willingness to take part in a First Aid at Work course with the college and undertake all mandatory online training.
