Estimator (Mechanical Systems)
We are seeking a dynamic team player to lead our custom mechanical projects at our Mont/Bucks County manufacturing facility. If you are interested in joining a high-growth, well-established organization with excellent growth opportunities, this could be the right fit for you!
Responsibilities Include:
1. Custom estimation
2. Project coordination and management as needed
3. Implementation and execution of projects
4. Completing projects on time and within budget
5. Aligning with corporate strategy, commitments, and organizational objectives
6. Generating proposals for manufactured electro-mechanical machinery and custom equipment
7. Working independently and collaboratively with Sales, Plant Managers, Operations, vendors, Architects, Designers, Engineers, Owners, and General Contractors
8. Managing the project cycle, including bid coordination, detailed budgeting, and execution to meet contract requirements
9. Defining project scope and deliverables
10. Establishing accountability and scalability
11. Planning, implementing, and managing budgets, schedules, and timelines
12. Participating in daily meetings and status updates
13. Forecasting, quoting, and managing cost variances
14. Allocating project resources
15. Implementing process improvements
Qualifications:
1. Hands-on experience as an estimator, including proposal generation
2. Experience within manufacturing environments
3. Exposure to supply chain, logistics, and parts management
4. Direct labor costing experience
5. Experience in at least three of the following areas: heavy equipment, processing equipment, pumps, hydraulics, machinery, pharmaceutical equipment, or automated equipment
6. Experience with continuous or process improvements is a plus but not required
7. Project management certification (PMP, CPM) or equivalent experience is a plus but not required
8. Ability to read blueprints
9. Experience creating and implementing SOPs is a plus
10. Experience as a Project Engineer, Manager, or Coordinator is an asset but not mandatory
11. Proficiency in at least two of the following technical skills: ERP, AutoCAD, SketchUp, MRP, CRM, MS Office, Excel, Google Docs, estimation software
12. Excellent written and oral communication skills
13. Results-driven attitude
14. Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills
15. Ability to work within cross-functional teams
16. Capability to multitask and manage multiple proposals simultaneously
17. Adequate vision and physical ability to perform job duties safely
