Reporting directly to the Vice President, Global Rewards, the Associate Director, Project Management is responsible for leading project management responsibilities for our Global Rewards team. This position leads/supports delivery against all project and process management phases for assigned global projects (one or more) within Global Rewards. This person will work as the Project Leader, with assigned IT function, and Fortrea Global Rewards Leadership to ensure non-technology and technology-based deliverables are in alignment.
Responsibilities
* Accountable to deliver assigned projects on time and on budget. Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of project status including creation of regular project dashboards and tracking of project cost and resource usage.
* Responsible for identifying the need for initiatives to support of the strategic direction of the organization.
* Develop a business case and garner organizational support for key initiatives
* Identification of key stakeholders, communication and change needs and engages stakeholders within all levels of the organization throughout the project life cycle.
* Responsible for the creation and management of a detailed project plan for each assigned project.
* As a project leader is responsible for managing the work and responsible for all levels of program delivery.
* Provides pro-active advice and counsel to program leaders/sponsors and team members on best practice to ensure project success.
* Supports program leader in project level (cross work stream) change and communications.
* Responsible for the collection, cataloguing, and maintenance of a variety of project documentation including requirements gathering, risk identification and mitigation, etc.
* Monitors compliance with project management and process management standards, policies, procedures, and templates.
* Completes tasks within an assigned project work streams.
* Responsible for understanding roles and responsibilities with all assigned project tasks to make recommendations and assignments.
* Facilitates project teams in problem resolution, such as deviation from project plans.
* Instills a culture of continuous improvement, quality and productivity. Seeks opportunities to improve process and may facilitate process improvement projects.
* Facilitates work stream meetings, updates to steering committees, etc.
* Manages project budget against plan, giving visibility to overages and underspent funds.
* Facilitates global process improvement and process management activities.
* Provides oversight to guidance to contracted consultant resources on behalf of the organization.
Education and Training
* BA/BS or equivalent experience required.
* Project Management Certification preferred (PMP)
* Process Improvement certification (e.g. 6-sigma, TQM, process engineering) preferred
* Ability to perform intermediate/advanced computer skills.
Experience
* 10+ years of progressive project and/or process management responsibilities, willingness to complete both strategic and hands on tactical deliverables.
* 7 + years of relevant functional HR knowledge/depth.
* Demonstrated ability to work as a program leader to set the strategic direction and manage the work of others on an organizational initiative.
* Creative and resilient in application of processes and approach to work
* Excellent communication, presentation, influencing and facilitation skills.
* Project management skills, including time management, planning and budgeting.
* Ability to prioritize and multitask.
