About the Job
As a Bid Writer, you will be instrumental in securing new funding and driving growth across key skills and employability workstreams. You will lead the development of high-quality, compliant, and persuasive bid submissions that demonstrate impact, value for money, and strong delivery capability.
Your responsibilities will include:

Identifying, researching, and evaluating tender opportunities across Employability, ASF, AEB, Skills Bootcamps, Adult Learning, Apprenticeships, and DWP-funded contracts

Writing and coordinating compelling bid responses aligned to funder specifications and scoring criteria
*
Working closely with delivery, quality, finance, and operations teams to gather evidence, case studies, and performance data
*
Maintaining and developing a robust bid library to ensure consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement
*
Reviewing bid outcomes and feedback to strengthen future submissions and success rates

Ideal Candidate
You will be well-suited to this Bid Writer role if you have:

Proven success writing bids within Employability, Adult Skills, ASF, AEB, Skills Bootcamps, Adult Learning, Apprenticeships, or DWP programmes

Strong knowledge of public-sector funding streams and commissioning requirements

The ability to engage and influence internal stakeholders across multiple departments

Exceptional written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and clarity
