Software Engineer — Stafford, VA • Full Time – Secret Clearance Required

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and validate Software Version Descriptions (SVDs).
* Support software requirements within system-level (SW/HW) specifications.
* Review OEM-submitted CDRLs and software documentation.
* Participate in IPTs and contribute to technical discussions and reviews.
* Analyze software integration, interoperability, and cybersecurity impacts.
* Create and maintain technical documents: ICDs, development plans, test procedures.
* Apply secure coding practices and address vulnerabilities (STIGs, RMF).
* Support planning for cloud-hosted solutions, with awareness of DoD Cloud Impact Levels (IL2–IL5).
* Assist in test event planning, execution, and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor’s in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field (5 additional years of experience may substitute for a degree).
* Mid-Level: 5–9 years | Senior-Level: 10+ years
* Experience with software development, lifecycle documentation, and defense acquisition.
* Familiarity with SVDs, CDRLs, and systems that integrate hardware and software.
* Understanding of DoD cybersecurity frameworks and Cloud IL requirements.
* Tools: Git, Jira, Confluence, MS Office.
* Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
Nice to Have
* Experience with C2 systems, tactical networks, or expeditionary platforms.
* Exposure to Agile or DevSecOps in defense settings.
Requirements
* U.S. Citizenship.
* Active DoD Secret Clearance.
This position is Contingent on winning award.
Salary Range - $75,000 to $135,000 (Depending on experience).
