About the role We wouldn’t be able to positively impact the way the world shops without our passionate team members - who keep our business running, our vans delivering, our customers' products picked and packed, and our proprietary technology operating at optimum levels. We now have an opportunity for an Area Coordinator (Nights) 6 month FTC to join the team at Bristol CFC. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth operational workflow, compliance, and excellent service delivery. We operate a rotating shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off, from 6.30pm to 6.30am (45hours weekly average in 52 weeks). Key Responsibilities - Safety First: Maintain high health & safety standards, ensuring compliance with SSOWs and risk assessments while actively identifying and removing hazards. - People & Team Engagement: Foster an inclusive and supportive team culture, ensure clear communication, onboard new team members, and contribute to key workforce KPIs (labour turnover, absence, and engagement). - Operational Efficiency: Capture and manage headcounts, ensuring fair deployment, and coordinate tasks to meet productivity and performance targets. - Quality & Compliance: Ensure all processes adhere to HACCP and food safety standards, working closely with food technology teams on any issues. - Continuous Improvement: Identify and resolve operational challenges, escalate issues where needed, and drive best practices for efficiency gains. About you - Strong communication skills (verbal and written). - Proficient numerical skills with the ability to analyse and interpret data. - A KPI-driven mindset with the ability to set and achieve performance goals. - Adaptability in a fast-moving operational environment. - A strong commitment to safety and high working standards. - Basic IT proficiency (Excel, Google, Microsoft Office). Preferred experience - Knowledge of food safety and compliance standards. - Experience in a 24/7 logistics or warehouse operation. - Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems. - Previous people management or leadership experience. - Experience using Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE). Additional Requirements - Ability to stand/walk for extended periods. - Lift objects up to 30kg periodically. - Work in varying temperatures (30°C to -30°C). - Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, in a 24/7 operation.
