Experienced Bookkeeper – Flexible 20+ Hours per Week – Office Based (Doncaster)
A well established and successful firm of Accountants is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join its friendly bookkeeping team on a part time or full time basis. The business has been operating for over 30 years and supports a wide range of clients. This role is based in Doncaster, working as part of a dynamic and growing team.
Key Responsibilities
•Maintain accurate and complete financial records for client bookkeeping
•Complete bank reconciliations
•Prepare VAT returns
•Manage accounts payable and receivable
•Communicate with clients by phone and email, responding to queries promptly
•Carry out scanning, electronic filing, and other administrative tasks as required
About You
•Minimum 3 years’ experience, ideally within an accountancy practice
•Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Sage Business Cloud, and Xero
•Confident using Microsoft Excel
•Experienced in preparing VAT returns, completing reconciliations, and familiar with VAT regulations and MTD
•Experience completing CIS returns
•Able to reconcile control accounts
•Experience producing management accounts (preferred)
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to explain financial matters clearly to clients
•Excellent time management and multitasking ability
•Able to work to deadlines and prioritise workload efficiently
•High attention to detail, accurate, organised, and enthusiastic
•A strong team player
