We are seeking a highly skilled PostgreSQL Database Engineer / DBA to join our team.
The position implies working hand-in-hand with the various technical teams to build and support reliable and scalable solutions at Altenar.
The responsibility area requires a deep understanding of data structuring and experience in developing and administering PostgreSQL and some experience with MS SQL databases.

Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL databases
* Optimize database performance through query optimization, indexing, and tuning
* Monitor and troubleshoot database-related issues and provide solutions
* Work with developers to ensure database design meets application requirements
* Manage database security, backup, and recovery procedures
* Collaborate with other IT professionals to implement database solutions
* Support highly-available systems in constantly growing workload environments
* Continuously update core knowledge and skills in the RDBMS area
* Contribute to and maintain documentation for the solutions provided
What we expect from you:
* 3+ years of experience in RDBMS administration
* Expertise in SQL query optimization, performance tuning, and monitoring
* Knowledge of high-load systems and experience in design and implementation
* Experience in configuring PostgreSQL for performance patterns
* Experience in building CI / CD
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other team members
* Proficient in spoken and written English
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
