People Manager



SALARY:

circa £24,000



CONTRACT:

37.5 hours per week

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To support the People Manager and the Community Trust’s Senior Management Team in providing timely and effective administration for people processes across the organisation. To continually seek to enhance the service provided to our people with innovation and continuous improvement.



Key Tasks & Responsibilities

1. Recruitment Support: Overseeing the recruitment inbox, coordinating communication with candidates, and supporting managers in the recruitment process.
2. Compliance Support: Carrying out pre-employment checks, triggering DBS applications, obtaining references, and verifying qualifications and certifications.
3. Employee Lifecycle: Generating offer letters and contracts, supporting onboarding, managing employee changes, overseeing probation, supporting absence management, processing resignations, and supporting training, development, and appraisal processes.
4. Data Management: Managing HR systems, updating records, assisting with audits, generating reports, and ensuring GDPR compliance.


Skills, Knowledge & Experience

* Previous HR experience.
* CIPD or working towards (desirable).
* Excellent administration and organisational skills.
* Data-driven with a focus on systems and processes.
* Experience managing HR information systems.
* Excellent written communication skills.
* Proactive, able to prioritise and manage workload.
* Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
* Passion for HR and people development.
* Appreciation for sports and the sporting industry.
