Our goal is to empower children to build resilience, achieve independence, and thrive. The Role: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality care and support, acting as a positive role model while overseeing daily operations and mentoring junior staff. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct care and support to children and young people in line with their individual care plans. Promote the emotional, physical, and social development of children through structured routines and activities. Take the lead during shifts, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication with the team. Support the management team in implementing care strategies, risk assessments, and safeguarding practices. Monitor and maintain accurate records and reports, including incident logs, keywork sessions, and daily progress. Guide, support, and mentor support workers and new staff, encouraging continuous professional development. Build positive relationships with children, families, professionals, and external agencies. Contribute to team meetings and work collaboratively to deliver high-quality outcomes for the children. Requirements: Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience working in a residential setting with children or young people. Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or Children and Young People’s Workforce) – essential. A genuine passion for supporting and safeguarding children. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Flexibility to work on a rota, including weekends and sleep-ins. Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to obtain one.
