Purpose
* Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to primary-aged pupils with SEND, including SEMH and autism.
* Plan and deliver a creative, differentiated primary curriculum, with a focus on core literacy and numeracy skills.
* Provide targeted support to pupils preparing for end of Key Stage 2 assessments (SATs), ensuring accessibility and appropriate scaffolding.
* Create a nurturing and structured learning environment that promotes pupil engagement, confidence, and wellbeing.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to meet the holistic needs of each child.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Set high expectations and model excellent teaching practice, adapted to meet individual needs.
2. Teach a range of primary curriculum subjects, with a strong emphasis on literacy, numeracy, and SATs preparation.
3. Create engaging, child-centred lesson plans that align with EHCP targets and personal learning goals.
4. Track and report pupil progress using formative and summative assessments, including SATs frameworks.
