About the Role
A confidential, growth-focused distribution business is seeking a hands-on
Operations Manager
to lead day-to-day operations across warehousing, logistics and inventory. You'll drive reliability, cost-efficiency and service while upgrading systems and processes across the group.
Key Responsibilities
* Own daily operations across warehousing, transport and distribution to deliver OTIF, service and cost targets.
* Lead inventory management and accuracy (cycle counts, stock integrity, write-off control; target 98–99%+).
* Implement and optimise WMS/ERP processes, dashboards and KPIs across multiple sites.
* Improve end-to-end logistics flows (inbound, put-away, pick/pack, dispatch, carrier management).
* Introduce best-practice SOPs and CI/Lean initiatives to remove waste and increase throughput.
* Partner with Purchasing/Supply Chain on demand planning, MOQ optimisation and availability.
* Build and develop high-performing teams; set clear objectives and coaching rhythms.
* Ensure compliance with H&S, quality standards and company policies.
* Support budgeting, cost control and productivity improvement projects.
About You
* Proven operations leadership in
distribution/logistics
(multi-site preferred).
* Strong track record improving
inventory accuracy
, warehouse efficiency and service KPIs.
* Confident with
WMS/ERP
deployment/improvement and data-driven decision making.
* Continuous improvement mindset (Lean/6S), sleeves-rolled-up and delivery focused.
* Effective people leader and cross-functional collaborator (Supply Chain, Finance, IT).
