Job Title: Procurement Assistant
Job Type: Temporary initial 3 months with a possibility of extension
Salary: £12.60 per hour
Location: Sedgefield (onsite role)
SRG is exclusively working with a highly innovative organisation tasked with bringing the UK to the forefront of innovation. We are looking for a motivated individual to support the Procurement Department with basic administrative duties. The successful candidate must be available to start immediately and work onsite 5 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Promote and exemplify company values and ethical behaviour to foster a positive company culture.
* Ensure compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Data Integrity (DI), quality, and other relevant standards.
* Input data, perform data analytics, and maintain electronic folders within the Procurement Department.
* Carry out clerical and administrative tasks within the department.
* Assist with quotation and tender activities.
* Use internal Purchase Requisition System to identify purchase requirements and facilitate the Purchase Order process.
* Monitor Purchase Orders in the financial system (SAGE 200).
* Expedite Purchase Orders with suppliers.
* Communicate with internal stakeholders to provide order status updates.
* Ensure supplier documentation is correctly filed and archived.
* Confirm receipt of goods/services for Purchase Orders.
* Perform any other duties relevant to the role.
Requirements:
* Educated to GSCE level (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
* Excellent attention to detail with accurate data entry skills.
* Previous exposure to procurement or supply chain is preferred, with the ability to handle high volumes of work across multiple systems.
