This is a Senior Care Assistant role at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The role involves supporting and working alongside the care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The successful candidate will have experience working in a similar care environment and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.


Main duties of the job

As a Senior Care Assistant, your focus will be to support and work alongside the care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Other responsibilities include monitoring residents' wellbeing, being involved in person-centred care planning, supporting with medication, undertaking staff supervisions, and acting as a key contact for residents, relatives, and health and social care professionals.

ABOUT THE ROLE

ABOUT YOU

To succeed, you should embody our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable. Our ideal candidate will have:

* An NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes
* At least 2 years of experience in a similar care environment
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
* A positive attitude towards supporting residents and staff
* Flexibility and responsiveness to responsibilities

Person Specification


Qualifications

* NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes
* Two years' experience in a similar care environment
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* A positive attitude supporting residents and staff
* Flexibility to handle various responsibilities


Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, requiring a Disclosure to check for criminal convictions.
