We currently have opportunities to work full or part-time hours, on a permanent or fixed term contract. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Phlebotomy Team, working across six sites. This role will support the 7-day service we offer and will include weekend and evening working. A dedicated 5-week training programme will be provided to allow for a smooth transition into the service.
Responsibilities
Main duties of the job
* During induction, gain essential venepuncture skills and understand the legal framework behind clinical activities.
* Increase clinical competence and build confidence when engaging with patients.
* Buddy up with other team members while training and integrate into the Phlebotomy service.
* Contribute to delivering a high-quality, timely, and effective phlebotomy service across sites.

Qualifications
* Essential Good standard of literacy and numeracy.
* Essential Able to work well with patients and staff at all levels, understanding their needs and the role of the department in meeting them.
* Desirable Previous experience working as a Phlebotomist within a health care setting.
Knowledge and skills
* Essential Commitment to develop and maintain skills and knowledge.
* Desirable Able to work quickly under indirect supervision.
