Job Description:
Regional Building Contractor primarily specialising in Refurbishment works to a number of blue-chip clients.
The Quantity Surveyor will play an important role within the Commercial Team, working closely with Contracts Managers and project teams to manage project costs, procurement, and commercial performance across a range of refurbishment and minor works projects.

The role will be primarily office-based in Glasgow, with visits to project sites as required.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will support the commercial management of projects from initial pricing through to final account agreement.
Responsibilities:
* Manage commercial and contractual arrangements associated with client projects.
* Support the pricing, negotiation and agreement of project costs, budgets, and variations.
* Monitor project financial performance and assist in controlling costs and expenditure.
* Procure subcontractor packages and materials to support project delivery.
* Prepare subcontract documentation and manage commercial relationships with suppliers.
* Monitor project progress against budgets and identify financial risks or opportunities.
* Assist in preparing and submitting interim valuations and agreeing final accounts.
* Maintain accurate financial records and project cost reporting.
* Prepare financial and management reports to support project monitoring.
* Liaise with Contracts Managers and project teams to ensure commercial awareness across projects.
The successful candidate will possess:
Essential:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
* Experience working within the construction (refurbishment / fit-out) sector.
* Strong knowledge of cost control, procurement, and project valuation processes
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Desirable:
* Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. RICS)
* Experience working with Schedule of Rates contracts.
* Understanding of construction regulations and contractual frameworks
