About the Role: MEEM are seeking a Garment Tech Intern for a one-year, paid internship. This role involves providing vital and accurate administrative support to our Garment Tech team. Job Responsibilities: Product: When receiving fit samples, check if sample measurements have been received, if not chase them up. Receiving all supplier measurements prior to the fit session and upload them into the workbooks. When receiving gold seal sample, steam and measure them prior to the fit session, highlighting measurement discrepancies Checking care labels are correct when receiving shipment samples To support the Garment Tech & Buying team, writing comments in the fit meeting when required. To support the Garment Tech with comments, downloading pictures from fits Additional Tasks: Supporting the Buying Admins on DHL Department filing To co-ordinate (with the support of the Garment Tech & Buying Assistants) the samples for fit reviews To prioritize own workload in line with Meetings Schedule and Critical Path Build and maintain good working & professional relationships with head office, store and warehouse teams. Build and maintain good working & professional relationships with the supply base. Progression: To support the Garment Tech’s with test reports, ensure there is a test report (base & bulk) for all cloth/ yarn, interlining, trim, artwork for each style. To support the Garment Tech team on care label approvals. To log all wearer trial and chase back the samples and results To carry out wash tests at head office to ensure the performance of the product. To make regular scheduled visits to the Warehouse, to support the team in the identification of poor quality/ poor manufacture/ customer abuse. To review the monthly quality returns report and present any anomalies to the department.
