Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
Hours: 37.5 hours Per Week.
Salary: Up To £29,039 Per Annum

Join our client in the heart of Cambridge as a Pastry Chef! You will be responsible for operating within the pastry section of the kitchen to deliver an excellent customer experience for Fellows, students, staff and guests to the College and to assist in the development of seasonal offerings.

Job Duties:
* Ensure consistently high quality across all dessert and pastry offerings.
* Support the coordination and execution of pastry and dessert preparation and presentation.
* Assist in daily production to meet kitchen and service requirements.
* Contribute creative input toward the development of seasonal and innovative menu items.
* Support effective food cost control to align with overall food and beverage revenue goals.
* Adhere to all food hygiene, allergen information, and health & safety regulations.
* Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, in line with guidelines issued by the Head Chef.
* Assist in the design and development of dessert options suitable for conference and event catering.
* Ensure the pastry section is maintained in a clean, organised state, with stock levels effectively managed within budgetary limits.
* Requirement to work overtime during busy conferencing periods necessary to maintain service provision and meet fluctuations in business patterns.
* Willingness to take a flexible approach to work duties working a mixture of late, early weekend and split shifts for special functions as requested and to cover staff sickness
What we are looking for:
* City & Guilds 706/1 or NVQ 1 and/or equivalent to pastry/baking qualification.
* Exceptional eye for detail
