We are looking for Passionate, Hard-working and committed Teaching Assistants to work in one our secondary SEN schools within the Salford area where you will play a vital role in supporting young people who have mild to moderate needs varying from Autism, language and communication delays, and physical disabilities.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will
Attend to pupil’s needs and implement related personal programmes in accordance with their EHCP
Aid in students’ development and help them become ready for higher education
Encourage students to engage with others and activities
Support the class teacher in behaviour management and de-escalation
Support sensory, physical and social needs
Build strong rapport with students
Assist in the general day-to-day classroom maintenance
A successful candidate will have
Prior experience working with children/adults who have complex sensory/physical/behavioural needs
A resilient, Patient, reliable and compassionate approach
The ability to work as a team player
The ability to be adaptable and flexible
