The Dixon Foundation is embarking on an exciting new initiative: “Rainforest Readers”.
Considering applying for this job Do not delay, scroll down and make your application as soon as possible to avoid missing out.
This ambitious project seeks to improve children’s lives through immersive experiences in both nature and reading. It blends the restorative power of wild spaces with the transformative magic of storytelling—and it’s only just beginning.
We’re not looking to fill a box. We’re looking for the right person to help shape the box, and then lead the building of something truly exceptional.
This isn’t your typical job advert. Why? Because the role hasn’t been rigidly defined yet and intentionally so. We’re offering a rare opportunity to join a pioneering project at its inception and co-create the role that will define its early path. You’ll have the autonomy to design, deliver, and evolve this work in line with your strengths, values, and vision.
We have the funding for the role for an initial 12 months whilst the project is scoped out, but the ambition is to scale the impact across generations.
The Trustees are looking to recruit an inspirational individual to lead, define, and deliver the Rainforest Readers project.
This is a unique opportunity to join a project where the role isn’t fully defined because we’re looking for someone who can help shape it. We’re more interested in finding the right person than fitting someone into a predefined box. If that sounds like your kind of challenge, we’d love to co-create this with you.
You’ll be supported by a passionate group of Trustees and collaborate with an aligned network of thinkers, educators, conservationists, and social entrepreneurs from organisations including Oxygen House, Sparx Education and Oxygen Conservation.
If you’re excited by building from the ground up, if you thrive in a space where responsibilities evolve, and if you’re eager to co-create your path, we’d love to talk.
