Compensation: £12.60 / hour

Description

As a Bartender at Dreamland, reporting to the management team, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding hospitality by serving a diverse selection of drinks from independent brewers and businesses. This position is well suited to someone with a strong interest in being a part of KERB, ideally, with a good understanding of casual food and beverage service. You should have experience working in a fast-paced setting, with a keen eye for spotting upselling opportunities.

Whilst experience in high-volume bars or hospitality is highly desirable, the most important qualities you bring to the role are a positive/flexible attitude and excellent communication skills.

Providing an exceptional service to our guests and answering any queries, complaints/issues and escalate to line manager when necessary
Taking direction from senior members of the team, but also using your initiative to work independently and maintain a calm and professional approach in a busy environment
First and foremost is working the bar, pouring drinks, a basic understanding of cocktails but this can be taught, same for coffee making
Supporting with bar set-up ready for opening - chopping fruit, putting out candles, final cleandown
Clean down and re-set for the following day, including but not limited to waste removal, glass washing, switching off electrical items, rotate stock as necessary
Maintain an excellent understanding of the food and beverage offering at Dreamland and be able to make suggestions and recommendations to guests based on their preferences
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and alcohol service laws, including checking the identification of customers to verify age.

What you'll bring to KERB

Excellent people skills, confident talking to our guests and traders
An eye for spotting upselling opportunities
A positive and flexible attitude, with the ability to think laterally and willing to problem solve
Experience using tablet based till systems - we use Goodtill
An awareness of the licensing objectives
A love of brilliant food and drink
Availability to work weekends and evenings
1 years experience in bartending however this isn't a dealbreaker
Great knowledge of beers, wines & spirits - cocktail and coffee experience would be a bonus

What you'll get by joining KERB

Generous F&B discount across KERB food and drinks
CODE app membership
Access to Employee Assistance Program (Hospitality Action)
Perks at Work discounts
25 days holiday (excluding bank holidays) + birthday day off
