Location: The Sycamores - Stafford
Compensation: £35,848 - £38,028 per year (including 10 sleeps per month paid at £60 per sleep and an hourly rate of £13.80 to £15.45 per hour depending on qualification). Opportunities to pick up overtime at enhanced rate.
Hours: 173 hours per month – shift pattern is 2 days on, 4 days off, with sleep ins. Rotas given in advance. We are a 365‑day a year service due to the nature of our work.
Essential Requirements
* A minimum 12 months experience in a children's residential care home
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
* A full driving licence issued in the UK
* Applicants must have full right to work in the UK with no restrictions
* In depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, expectations and best practice
* Values in line with Esland's, such as taking a therapeutic, person‑centred approach to childcare
* Due to industry regulations, applicants must be aged 21 or above

Role
The Sycamores is a beautiful solo home set in the stunning south Staffordshire countryside, offering crisis intervention and trauma‑informed therapeutic care. The Senior Children's Home Support Worker will provide the highest quality care and support for our young people, meeting their educational, emotional, and personal development needs, while encouraging participation in hobbies and interests.
The role includes ensuring all young people receive a personalised education plan, supporting emotional and educational development, and delivering care in accordance with best practice and Ofsted regulations.
