Job Title: Thermoforming Shift Manager
Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per year (negotiable for relevant experience)
Location: Haydock, St Helens
(Continental shift pattern: 4 on, 4 off - 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off)

With a strong reputation for quality and a focus on long-term careers, they're now looking for a hands-on Shift Manager to lead production on their thermoforming lines.
Your Role:
You'll lead a team of operators on shift and be responsible for the smooth running of the thermoforming department. This includes:
* Leading daily handovers and team briefings
* Maximising output while minimising downtime
* Supporting operators and developing their capability
* Monitoring production, quality, and waste KPIs
* Troubleshooting process issues in real time
* Ensuring product quality through visual and sample checks
* Communicating clearly with senior management, suppliers, and the wider team
What You'll Need:
Essential:
* Background in thermoforming, plastics, packaging, or a similar process-led manufacturing environment
* Experience leading a team in a production setting
* Strong communication skills - able to talk with operators and senior leaders alike
Desirable:
* Thermoforming experience
* HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering or Manufacturing
* Familiarity with ERP systems and production reporting
