About the DT Department • Fully equipped multi-material workshops • CAD/CAM technology including 3D printers, laser cutters and CNC equipment • Dedicated technician support for practical lessons • Broad curriculum including Product Design, Engineering and Resistant Materials • Strong culture of innovation, creativity and problem-solving • Students regularly participate in design competitions and STEM challenges About the Role • Teaching DT across KS3–KS4 (KS5 available depending on specialism) • Delivering high-quality practical and theory-based lessons • Supporting coursework, design projects and portfolio development • Contributing to enrichment activities such as robotics, engineering clubs or MakerSpace workshops • Maintaining safe workshop practices and promoting student independence Experience and Qualifications • Degree in DT, Engineering or a related discipline • PGCE with QTS • Excellent technical and practical skills • Strong understanding of CAD/CAM and modern design processes • Commitment to inspiring creativity and innovation Salary MPS/UPS.
