JMC Aviation is partnering with an MRO company based in Heathrow to recruit a new B1 Licensed Engineer. This international line and base maintenance provider operates a comprehensive level of support for commercial aircraft operators, offering component repairs, overhauls, part manufacture, fuel tank repairs, aircraft maintenance, interiors and AOG support.

This is a Permanent Position based in Heathrow, with a 5/5/4 day shift pattern, working 06:00 – 18:00.

The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to carry out certification of work in accordance with the scope and privileges of the authorisation held.
Other Duties Involve
* Supervising staff in conjunction with a Leading Mechanic, allocated to the aircraft or zone that the Certifying Engineer is accountable for.
* Ensuring that any significant findings that could affect the aircraft delivery are reported to the Shift Manager as soon as possible.
* Ensuring that work is carried out in the most efficient manner to meet aircraft turnaround times.
* Ensuring continuity of work by completing the handover log and being available to give a handover at the shift change.
* Ensuring spares are identified and provisioned in the most time‑efficient manner to avoid delays in rectification.
* Maintaining an awareness of Human Factors and ensuring Health and Safety standards are of the highest possible level and in line with the Company Safety Manual.
* Raising safety reports following any incidents or identification of any hazards.
Required Skills and Attributes
* UK CAA Part 66 B1 Licence with 6 months recency in the last 2 years on one of the following types:
o A320 (Cfm56, V2500, PW1100G (NEO))>
o A330 (Trent 700, Trent 7000 (NEO))
o A380 (Trent 900, EA GP7200)
o B737 (Cfm56, Leap 1B)
o B777 (Trent 800, GE90)
o B787 (Trent 1000, Genx)
* Line maintenance experience.
* Hold a Drivers Licence.
