The Paralegal will provide critical support to Finance department by assisting with legal research, drafting contracts, managing compliance documentation, maintaining intellectual property records, and ensuring the business stays aligned with applicable laws and regulations. This role requires high attention to detail, excellent organisation skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

* Draft, review, and maintain standard contracts including NDAs, vendor agreements, licensing agreements, and influencer agreements.
* Assist in intellectual property portfolio management (trademarks, copyrights), including filing, renewals, and infringement tracking.
* Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda or briefing notes.
* Help maintain regulatory compliance across global markets (data privacy, e-commerce regulations, advertising standards).
* Organise and maintain digital legal files, trackers, and databases.
* Liaise with internal departments (Marketing, HR, Product Development, Ecommerce) to ensure contracts and policies meet legal standards.
* Support in dispute resolution matters, including gathering documentation and liaising with external counsel.
* Monitor changes in relevant legislation and regulations.

WHO YOU ARE:

* Paralegal certification or degree in Law, Legal Studies, or related field.
* 2+ years of experience in a legal or corporate paralegal role, preferably in fashion, retail, or e-commerce.
* Solid understanding of contract law, IP law, and compliance issues.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
* Proficiency with legal and productivity tools (e.g., DocuSign, MS Office, contract management software).
* Passion for alternative fashion and the Killstar aesthetic is a strong plus.

WORK HOURS & LOCATION:

We are looking for someone to work part-time, ideally 3 days per week (22.5 hours). This role can either be fully remote, with some travel to our Brighton HQ, or based in our Brighton office.
