Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. DRIVERS ONLY WITH OWN VEHICLE. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high‑quality care and support to individuals in their own home. This position requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in your care, ensuring their dignity and independence are maintained.
Duties
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Provide medication administration as per care plans and ensure compliance with health regulations.
* Support clients with mobility and transportation needs, including driving them to appointments or social activities.
* Maintain accurate records of patient care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
* Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
* Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a trusting relationship.
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar role within healthcare settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or hospice care is preferred.
* Certification in First Aid is advantageous.
* Knowledge of medication administration protocols is essential.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
* A valid driving licence is required for transporting clients as needed. DRIVERS ONLY WITH OWN VEHICLE.
* Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
* Relevant qualifications in nursing or patient care would be beneficial but are not mandatory.
