About the role
The Senior Software Developer (Workday) will take a hands-on role working within Workday Studio on complex integrations to meet business and system requirements. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, the Head of Enterprise Business Platforms and other members of the ERP Platform Team with the overall goal of enabling seamless, robust and supportable data flow between Workday and other enterprise systems.
The primary focus of the role is to:
1. Develop, maintain and improve integrations between Workday and other enterprise systems at the University
2. Work within the ERP Platform Team to provide configuration support for Workday
3. Develop new processes, workflows and reports
Skills, Experience & Qualification needed
4. Knowledge of current software development practices (unit testing, continuous integration etc.)
5. Hands-on experience of Workday Studio, building and maintaining complex integrations
6. Knowledge of Web Services (SOAP, REST), XML, XSLT, Java, SQL, JSON
7. Experience of developing, deploying, scheduling reports
8. An understanding of agile software development models (Scrum, Kanban)
9. An ability to adapt to new languages, technologies and frameworks
10. Experience developing and supporting real-world IT systems in production
