Responsibilities
1. Organise and manage yourself to produce a productive and effective output of data and appointments via bold and cold-calling
2. Outbound phone calls to potential customers to promote company products and services in line with customer requirements
3. Sell services over the phone and arrange face-to-face meetings with potential customers to ensure achievement of sales targets
4. Recognise and seek opportunities to up/cross-sell additional products and services that the business offers
5. Pro-actively build, manage, and maintain relationships with clients via face-to-face meetings
6. Operate and effectively manage our CRM database with all customer contact and information ensuring accurate records are maintained
7. Keep abreast of developments within the water and utility services markets, provide clients with accurate market information, and share new industry knowledge with colleagues.
8. Research and prepare information for prospect meetings to identify their requirements to assist with closing the sale
9. Review your own sales performance, ensuring your and the company’s targets are met or exceeded
10. Attend external seminars and conferences as and when required
11. Participate in ongoing training and development and regular performance reviews
12. Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the company
13. Adhere to Company and department standards, policies, and procedures to attain and maintain the required competency level to perform the role and to promote a culture where customers are treated fairly, with openness and honesty
14. Apply company values in all day-to-day activities
15. You must ensure strong relationships are maintained with colleagues inside and outside of the business, including but not limited to –

Person specification (Background and skills):
Essential:
19. Previous experience of business to business selling, including business development is essential
20. Self-motivated and driven
21. Willingness to travel across the UK is essential
22. Ability to build strong, long-lasting professional relationships
23. Experience of driving sales and new business initiatives
Desirable:
24. Good understanding of the UK energy and water management markets is desirable
