Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this day-shift position plays a key role in providing engineering support to our production team, ensuring our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently and the repair of all plant equipment.
The Details
* Salary - £40,000
* Company Vehicle
* 4 on, 3 off (Thursday-Sunday or Friday-Monday, 4 x 10-hour shifts)
* Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Maintenance Engineer - Requirements
* A recognised qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical and electrical engineering.
* Time-served qualification and minimum 2 years' experience in a maintenance engineering role.
* Strong working knowledge of pneumatic and electrical control systems.
* Experience with product transfer systems (elevators, drag-chain, auger feed systems).
* Skilled in troubleshooting and fault-finding.
* Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
* Mechanically biased background preferred.
Maintenance Engineer - Responsibilities
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems.
* Perform planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance tasks in line with maintenance systems.
* Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, conducting root cause analyses.
* Provide technical support for production and quality processes.
* Maintain accurate shift records and documentation.
* Deliver detailed breakdown reports and recommend corrective actions.
* Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and standards.
