Support Worker Pay rate:£13.91 Shift pattern: 15:30-9pm each Thursday / 11am-9pm each Saturday and Sunday We are looking for caring, reliable and confident female support worker to join a small team supporting, a young person with complex medical and developmental needs who lives at home with her dad in Leigh. The person we supports requires calm, patient and person-centred support.She has Sturge-Weber Syndrome, well-controlled epilepsy (emergency Buccolam in place), is non-verbal, and visually impaired. She benefits from clear routines, reassurance and sensitive care. The person we supports eats a modified diet due to a history of oesophageal atresia and requires careful food preparation. She has left-sided weakness, reduced growth on her left side, and may need physical support with mobility. She experiences cyclical mood changes and, when distressed, may display behaviours such as scratching or pulling. A calm, confident approach and positive behaviour support are essential. Experience and Skills of a Support Worker: Patient, resilient, and emotionally intuitive Experience in Seizure management and supporting individuals with complex needs Comfortable supporting individuals with complex needs Able to remain calm during challenging behaviour Willing to learn and follow medical and care plans Committed to building trust and consistency Full training will be provided, including epilepsy and emergency medication support.
