JMK Group is expanding its hotel portfolio in Northern Ireland with the launch of two exciting Marriott properties — Aloft and Residence Inn, opening as a dual-site operation in Q1 2026.
We are now inviting applications for a dynamic and experienced Deputy General Manager (DGM) to join us from January, taking a key leadership role in shaping these hotels from pre-opening through to a successful launch.

The Role
This is a rare opportunity to join a major new hotel opening at senior leadership level. As Deputy General Manager, you will:
* Lead the day-to-day operations across both hotels, working closely with the General Manager
* Support all pre-opening activity, including recruitment, training, brand standards, operational readiness and team onboarding
* Build, develop, and strengthen the team in line with our Talent and Growth pillars
* Drive guest experience, service excellence, and operational consistency across both brands
* Oversee key operational departments including Front Office, F&B (limited service), and Maintenance
* Champion compliance, brand standards, and operational structures in line with Marriott expectations
* Promote a culture of Knowledge sharing and continuous development at all levels
* Foster an inclusive culture in line with our Diversity pillar
* Deputise fully for the General Manager, ensuring operational stability and leadership presence at all times
About You
We are seeking an experienced hotel leader with:
* Strong operational management experience (DGM, Operations Manager, or senior Duty Manager level)
* A proven track record leading teams in a fast-paced branded hotel environment
* Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership ability
* Strong organisational skills, follow-through, and an ownership mindset
* Confidence managing recruitment, training, service delivery and operational planning
* A passion for developing people and living our Four Pillars — Talent, Knowledge, Growth, Diversity
* The drive to shape a new hotel, build a strong culture, and deliver an exceptional opening
