Registered Service Manager - Learning Disabilities & Autism Service Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience) Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week on-call support Contract: Full-time, permanent Location: Office-based (NE3 & NE13) Requirements: Driver with access to a vehicle About Be Caring Be Caring is the UK's largest employee-owned social care provider - a not-for-profit organisation where colleagues are co-owners, working together to make a difference in people's lives and communities. Now, we're looking for a passionate and values-driven Registered Manager to lead our LIFE service and continue delivering outstanding, person-centred support. About the Role As our Registered Manager, you will lead our LIFE by Be Caring service across Newcastle, Gateshead and North Tyneside, ensuring that the people we support live safely, happily, and with dignity. You'll inspire your teams to deliver compassionate, high-quality support, embedding our values into everything you do: Be Kind. Be Involved. Be the Best You Can Be. Be Happy. Be Safe. Be Proud. Your leadership will shape services that empower both colleagues and the people they support to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities Leadership & People Development Engage, inspire, and motivate colleagues to deliver outstanding person-centred care. Lead multiple services, ensuring staff are supported, supervised and fully trained. Foster a positive, inclusive culture built on openness, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Ensure your team feel valued and supported through mentoring, coaching and recognition. Quality, Governance & Compliance Oversee quality assurance, audits, and compliance in line with CQC standards. Maintain oversight of care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding processes. Lead by example to ensure excellence in health and safety, record keeping, and best practice. Prepare and lead your service to achieve and maintain a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' CQC rating. Service Management Ensure operational efficiency - balancing staffing, scheduling, and service delivery. Implement recruitment and retention strategies to support service growth and stability. Manage budgets effectively, ensuring high standards are achieved cost-efficiently. Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager, Quality Leads, and central support teams. Collaboration & Communication Build trusted relationships with families, commissioners, social workers, and healthcare professionals. Communicate clearly and consistently with colleagues across all services. Promote a culture of learning and reflection, embedding lessons from feedback, audits, and incidents. Additional Information You will be required to register as the manager with CQC. Full support will be given to achieve this within 6 months. About You We're looking for an inspiring and experienced leader who shares our belief that care should empower, not limit. Experience managing services for adults with learning disabilities, autism, or complex behaviours. A proven track record of leading and developing teams across multiple sites. Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills. Strong understanding of CQC regulations and quality assurance frameworks. Financial management and budgeting experience. Hold or working towards a level 4 or 5 qualification in Health & Social Care or can demonstrate qualification through experience. A proactive, collaborative, and people-centred approach to leadership.
