You’ll help us make health happen by:
1. Taking responsibility for the well-being of our residents and ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
2. Coaching and guiding the team, providing formal and informal teaching programmes for colleagues and other care professionals.
3. Carrying out assessments and developing, implementing, and evaluating individualised care plans for each resident.
4. Monitoring work areas and practices to ensure safety and compliance with relevant standards, policies, and legislation.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
1. As a Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin, you’ll manage the unit alongside clinical duties, including oversight of care, administering and ordering medication, reviewing and evaluating care plans, and providing clinical guidance to the care team.
2. Previous experience ensuring policies and standards meet high clinical standards.
3. Confidence in offering clinical guidance and helping with all CQC tasks.
4. Ability to build connections with residents and their families, providing kindness, support, and care.
5. Effective communication and reporting skills for clinical issues.
6. For night shifts, strong critical thinking skills, confidence, self-reliance, and the ability to manage care staff and remain calm in emergencies are essential.
