Main duties of the job
The Band 7 role in SDEC is a rewarding role. You will lead our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team on a daily basis, ensuring the smooth running of shifts in a challenging and diverse environment. Your clinical leadership and people skills are vital to delivering the responsibilities and accountabilities outlined in this job description. No two days are the same in Same Day Emergency Care however, what we can promise to offer is an opportunity to develop and enhance your skills within a friendly and knowledgeable team.

St George’s, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and Health Group cares for a population of four million people in South West London and North East Surrey. Our sites include St George’s Hospital, one of 11 major trauma centres in the UK and the largest healthcare provider and major teaching hospital in the area; St Helier Hospital, home to the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit and Queen Mary's Hospital for Children; and Epsom Hospital, home to the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC).

Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Extensive post-registration experience within the specialty (minimum 5 years)
2. NMC Registered Adult Nurse
3. BSc or evidence of study at level 6 with ability to complete BSc
4. Teaching and assessing course (i.e. Mentorship or equivalent)
5. ILS
6. Safeguarding level 3
Desirable criteria
7. MSc or evidence of study at level 7
8. ALS
9. Level 1 or 2 Trauma
10. Management and leadership course
Experience
Essential criteria
11. Extensive post-registration experience within the specialty (minimum 5 years)
