Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £650 per week
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately
Are you confident leading a classroom and keeping students engaged in the absence of the class teacher? A dynamic and supportive secondary school in Sheffield is seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team.

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain on task and complete the work set. You will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning and promoting a calm, focused classroom environment across a variety of subjects.
Responsibilities:
* Supervise classes during teacher absences across KS3 and KS4
* Ensure students remain on task with pre-set work
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Maintain a calm and structured learning environment
* Support student engagement and participation in lessons
* Report any issues or concerns to relevant staff
* Follow school procedures to ensure continuity of learning
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with young people is desirable
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* Confident, adaptable and professional approach
* Ability to engage and motivate students in a classroom setting
* Reliable and consistent availability
* A positive attitude towards supporting education
