Working Hours:
10am to 3pm
Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
5 hours per day
About Us:
Nirvana Day Centre provides a warm, inclusive, and supportive space for adults with dementia/socially isolated in need of daytime care and companionship. We are currently seeking a reliable and compassionate activities co-ordinator/carer.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, organise, and lead a variety of activities that promote wellbeing, social interaction, and enjoyment for service users.
* Support service users with personal care, including assistance with toileting, and mobility, while maintaining dignity and respect.
* Monitor and record participation, wellbeing, and progress, sharing feedback with the care team.
* Preparation of meals ensuring nutritional needs are met.
* Able to work with potentially challenging behaviour from our clients.
* Communicate respectfully with clients, families, and staff.
* Follow all safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
* Cleaning up at the end of the day ready for the next day.
Requirements:
* Previous experience with elderly or vulnerable adults (Personal Care).
* Friendly, patient, punctual, and dependable.
* Able to speak English and at least one of Punjabi or Hindi.
