The Role
As a homeless assistant administrator, you will support the homeless team at Derby City Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service to support with data, keep records pertaining to housing status & compiling data returns for our commissioners.
The role is full time 37.5 hours per week. You will be part of a passionate and skilled team.
To join us as a homeless assistant administrator at Derby City Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service, you will need:
* To provide administrative and secretarial support
* Take minutes at meetings and process through to distribution.
* Photocopy documents, taking into account all aspects of confidentiality.
* Maintain filing systems
* Liaise with staff in other Phoenix Futures services and with outside agencies, as necessary
* Maintain record keeping and data collection analysis
* Logging incoming referrals and allocating to correct locality team
* Maintain and use databases
* Log, distribute and dispatch post and maintain appropriate records.
* Carry out telephone reception duties, along side other main reception duties including being the first point of contact for clients entering the building.
* Attend and participate in training sessions as required, in particular developing skills in the use of Information Systems and Information Technology.
* Work to Phoenix Futures’ policy and values in equality and diversity.
* Undertake any other tasks in line with this post.
* To be proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook and Word and be familiar with database management systems.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Understand complex issues presented by people in the community.
* Determined, with a drive to succeed and a willingness to learn.
* Passionate and enthusiastic about making a real difference to the lives of people we support.
Previous experience is desirable, however not essential. Administrators come from many different backgrounds and experiences, and you may have the skills required. We are seeking dedicated individuals, based on your values, willingness to learn new skills and the compassion to deliver the best service possible to the people that use our services.

The Service
Working in partnership with Derbyshire Healthcare Foundation Trust based in St Andrews House Derby with free on-site parking. We provide community support for people with drug and alcohol problems. We offer advice and guidance, one-to-ones and group sessions, support from harm reduction nurses, prescription services, and needle exchange.
