Data Analytics & AI – Data Science & AI – Manager
Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland or Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland
Key Responsibilities
* Leading diverse teams with varying skillsets, who use different Data and Analytics technologies.
* Lead end-to-end project delivery for data and analytics initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
* Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring successful execution and delivery.
* Oversee project budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
* Adapting leadership style to fit team, client, and cultural needs, anticipating and identifying risks and escalating issues as appropriate.
* Engage with key stakeholders across client organisations to understand data needs, communicate project progress, and ensure alignment with strategic/project goals.
* Create a positive learning culture and coach and counsel junior team members to help them develop.
* Work in multi-disciplinary teams across a range of industries helping clients use analytics to transform and improve their business.
* Generate innovative insights that add value to both clients and broader society.
* Champion operational efficiency improvements on projects and internal initiatives, consistently driving projects to completion and ensuring high quality work.
* Contribute to the wider Data & Analytics team’s future by building our brand, attending relevant events, collaborating with internal teams, and producing thought leadership.
* Identify potential business opportunities for EY to incubate or develop new solutions and services, with guidance from partners and senior managers.
Qualifications
* A completed degree (bachelors, masters, or PhD).
* Proven experience as a Data Analytics professional or comparable role in a consulting environment with a focus on project delivery and management.
* Proven experience in leading cross‑functional teams and managing complex projects.
* Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop others, communicate effectively, manage client expectations, and deliver quality projects on time.
* Ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical colleagues and clients.
* Ambition to continuously develop your skills and abilities.
* Analytically minded and able to assimilate and apply new techniques and knowledge to deliver insights and solve problems.
* Professional with the ability to work in diverse, evolving, and dynamic client environments.
* Working knowledge of key analytics tools such as:
o Reporting and visualisation: PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik
o Programming languages: SQL, Python, R
o Cloud computing platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP
* Experience in any aspects of the data analytics lifecycle, for example:
o Data Strategy
o Data Manipulation and ETL
o Data Analysis & Visualisation
o Applying machine learning, statistical analysis and other advanced analytics techniques to key business issues.
* Relevant experience in Agile Delivery.
