Neighbourhood Services are seeking 4 x Community Operatives on a permanent basis.
The posts are career graded from a Grade 2 to Grade 5. The grade allocated will be agreed with the successful candidates and will be dependant on skills, qualifications and experience as outlined on the attached Job specifications.
These are key front facing service roles where you are always in the public eye and will play a key role in maintaining the Street Scene working across North Lincolnshire.
As a result, we are looking for innovative individuals who care about their community and take pride in their work, striving to go the extra mile, with a Can do, positive attitude to problem solving and improving efficiencies.
Your primary duty will be based within our communities ensuring our Parks and Green spaces are well kept, using state of the art innovation to deliver our integrated weed plan driving a reduction in the use of chemical treatments. Previous Horticultural experience or qualifications would be advantageous. In addition, you will take a proactive approach to litter picking, maintaining community bins and responding to customer reports of Flytipping, sharps and other hazardous waste.
This role will be physically demanding, involving heavy lifting, walking considerable distances and working in all weather conditions whilst operating plant machinery on the highway.
Due to the nature of the work, you will need to have a flexible approach to your working hours combined with a willingness to work evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the service where enhancements will be payable.
Although not essential; it is desirable to hold a Full UK Licence. Higher entitlements may attract a high graded role ( LGV) and therefore licence entitlements, CPC qualifications and endorsements should be made clear on application.
