Job Description
The Role
Due to increased demand for our climate change consultancy services, we are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced individual to join our team. The successful candidate will support ERM’s clients on energy and climate change challenges, including:
* Accounting for greenhouse gas emissions (Scopes 1, 2, 3)
* Reducing emissions through targets, renewable energy, efficiency, and offsets
* Scope 3 emissions and SBTi targets
* Climate performance reporting
* GHG and climate risk assessments
* Low carbon transition risk analysis
Our role is to help clients achieve sustainable development objectives and manage related risks and opportunities. The team collaborates across practice areas, offering services like sustainability strategy, impact assessment, due diligence, and risk management.
Role and key responsibilities
As a Net Zero Managing Consultant, you will:
* Lead projects as a focal point for client interactions, managing teams and delivering proposals and outcomes
* Analyze carbon emissions, set targets (SBTi), develop reduction roadmaps, and implement strategies
* Ensure client outputs meet assessment and disclosure requirements
* Prepare reports, workshop materials, and technical summaries
* Support proposal development across sectors
Core Skills
Technical knowledge
* Degree or 5+ years in environmental consulting or related field
* Sector experience and knowledge of GHG accounting standards (GHG Protocol, SBTi, etc.)
* Understanding of climate legislation and management systems
Technical skills
* Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (advanced skills preferred)
* Experience with data visualization tools
* Project management skills
* Ability to handle large datasets and produce high-quality reports
