What's involved with this role: Job Title: Finance Manager Ref: WECA 5279964 Pay rate: £184.12 per day PAYE Role length: Anticipated 8 months Working arrangements: Hybrid: 2 to 3 days in the office per week The role: As Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the financial performance. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will help to establish and embed robust finance processes across all business areas and the entire accounting cycle. This is a hands-on and varied role within a small and developing team. You will provide financial control, analysis and reporting across corporate, operational and infrastructure workstreams, while supporting strategic projects and advising senior leaders. You will also deputise for the Head of Finance when required. You will be a finance-qualified professional (ACA/ACCA/CIMA equivalent) with experience in a Limited Liability Partnership or in the public sector, skilled in end-to-end finance processes, regeneration projects, and knowledgeable in accounting systems such as Xero. Key responsibilities: Provide expert financial advice and modelling to support multi-year budgets, financial plans and capital project development Monitor income and expenditure, identifying and explaining variances and risks Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial statements and performance reports Prepare financial reports and analysis for Directors, senior managers and the Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) Board Support grant funding claims, loan drawdowns, and the financial elements of business plans and funding bids Develop and implement finance processes, templates, trackers and internal controls Challenge and enhance financial systems and governance arrangements Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and legislation, including the Companies Act 2006 as applied to LLPs Support taxation matters including VAT, profit allocation, and other LLP-related tax obligations Build strong working relationships with Directors, Partner representatives and project teams Provide clear and insightful financial information to aid decision-making Liaise with auditors and external advisors, ensuring timely and accurate information is provided Support all financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, transaction recording and financial close processes Maintain the LLP finance system, including reporting hierarchies, chart of accounts and control accounts Monitor and manage cash flow, bank accounts and payments What the client is looking for: Finance qualified, ACA, ACCA, CIMA equivalent Experience in a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) or a Public Sector Organisation as partner of an LLP Experience working in the regeneration sector on projects of a similar nature or size Experience of working across the end-to-end finance process Knowledge of accounting systems, preferably Xero accounting software How to Apply: Quote the Job Title and Reference Number in your application.
