You will identify, engage and convert strategic new business opportunities using a value ‑ led, insight ‑ driven sales approach, particularly within large, centralised FMCG customers. This role suits a target ‑ driven, self ‑ motivated and tenacious commercial professional who challenges the status quo and delivers results. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Planning Lead, d evelop and deploy the New Business strategy to build on DS Smith market position among large centralised FMCG’s aligned to the UK objective of profitable growth Support the deployment of Scalable Innovation into Category A opportunities and existing customers Performance Develop and commit to a Strategic Plan for each opportunity to deliver long term sustainable profitable growth, including Cross Regional Lead & drive the opportunity delivery plans utilising the full DS Smith proposition, insight and data Report and deliver against agreed targets and objectives, adapting to deliver performance Account Offer and Deal Making Understand the Market, customer and business needs; identify, characterise and develop value creation and innovative solutions for new business opportunities within the customer and across the DS Smith network for mutual benefit, promoting at all times the “way we sell” principles and ways of working Customer Relationships Design and manage a Senior Level / Cross Functional contact map between Regions, Sectors and the customer Develop & Maintain Senior Relationships within the Strategic customers base Review and develop Strategic Growth Plans in line with customer and the DS Smith strategic needs and expectations. Deliver exceptional profitable growth, measured through the New Business Dashboard Deliver and Align Tender Strategies Coach the New business and support teams as appropriate to develop the team for the future needs of the sectors and customers.
