About RTITB
RTITB is a global leader in training for transport, warehousing, and logistics. We develop industry-recognised training used by 700+ partners to deliver over 100,000 certificates every year.
Our work improves safety, saves lives, and raises standards across the logistics sector. We're confident, collaborative, and always looking for better ways to support our customers and industry.
Events play a central role in how we engage customers, showcase excellence, and bring the industry together.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced events professional ready to step into their first fully autonomous Events Manager role.
You'll take ownership of RTITB's UK-wide events programme — planning and delivering a portfolio of high-profile customer competitions, conferences, and industry events from concept through to live delivery.
This isn't a role within a large events team. You'll be our dedicated events lead, trusted to manage end-to-end delivery and shape how we deliver events going forward. You'll have real ownership, visibility, and variety — with the support of a collaborative organisation around you.
If you're currently an Events Executive or Senior Coordinator delivering events hands-on and ready to take full ownership of your own portfolio, this is a brilliant next step.
What you'll be doing
You'll lead the planning and delivery of a diverse national events programme, including:
* Driver competitions and exhibition-style events for major national customers (including GXO and Coca-Cola)
* RTITB's annual conference and awards dinner
* Customer and partner events and webinars
You'll have full responsibility for:
* End-to-end event planning and delivery
* Event timelines, logistics, and budgets
* Venue sourcing and supplier management
* Stakeholder and customer coordination
* On-site delivery and live event management
* Post-event review and continuous improvement
You'll often be the lead on site, managing suppliers, stakeholders, and delivery on the day — bringing structure, calm, and professionalism to busy live environments.
Who this role is perfect for
This role is ideal for someone who:
* Has strong hands-on experience delivering events end-to-end
* Is ready to step into their first standalone Events Manager role
* Enjoys ownership and working independently
* Is confident managing suppliers, logistics, and stakeholders
* Thrives in live event environments and takes pride in delivery
You might currently be working as an Events Executive, Senior Events Coordinator, or similar and looking for the opportunity to fully own and shape an events programme.
What you'll need (essential)
* Around 3+ years' experience delivering events end-to-end
* Proven hands-on delivery of client- or partner-facing events
* Experience managing venues, suppliers, and logistics
* Strong organisation and problem-solving skills
* Confidence working independently and making decisions
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Willingness to travel across the UK for events
Desirable experience
* Conferences, awards dinners, or competition-style events
* Working with national or blue-chip customers
* Budget management responsibility
* Experience in logistics, transport, or regulated sectors
What to expect
Events take place across the UK and the role includes travel and busy delivery periods around major events. In return, you'll have significant autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to deliver high-profile industry events with real impact.
You'll work 37.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday) with flexibility around event delivery. Additional hours may occasionally be required during live events or peak delivery periods.
What you'll get
* Salary: up to £36,000 with annual review
* Annual leave: 26.5 days + bank holidays + festive shutdown
* Pension: 4.5% employer contribution
* Health & wellbeing: EAP, wellbeing support, discounted gym
* Flexible working: hybrid, flexitime, staggered hours
* Development: LinkedIn Learning & ongoing training
* Enhanced policies: family leave, sick pay, sabbatical options
* Perks: Perkbox discounts, recognition scheme, home office equipment
Why join RTITB?
