Senior Forensic Accountant
The role of Senior Forensic Accountant involves resolving financial insurance losses, including but not limited to, business interruption, product recall, product guarantee, cyber, fidelity, and stock claims. This is achieved through detailed analysis and review of accounting records, third-party information, and general inquiries.
You will analyze financial data and public information to evaluate the true economic impact of insured incidents. This analysis helps the instructing party minimize risks, protect assets, and make informed decisions.
Upon completing the review, your responsibilities extend to assessing the quantum, negotiating with brokers, lawyers, accountants, and corporate management.
You will work closely with claimants and adjusters, sometimes independently and other times as part of a larger team. Collaboration with other consultants, such as construction specialists and engineers, may be required to ensure loss measurements align with reinstatement timelines.
The role requires looking beyond financial documents, including researching market trends, industry information, and conducting interviews with business owners, employees, vendors, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Investigate and assess insured financial losses from inception to settlement.
* Support policyholders regarding their losses.
* Examine claims forms, policies, endorsements, instructions, and other records to determine coverage.
* Service current clients and build relationships.
* Conduct interviews, inspect physical damage, and compare claim information with evidence.
* Perform detailed analysis of financial and non-financial information.
* Prepare reports summarizing findings.
* Identify potential litigation opportunities.
* Present evidence and serve as an expert witness in legal proceedings.
Required Skills
* ACA or ACCA qualified accountant.
* Experience in Forensic Accounting is advantageous.
