We’re working with a global manufacturer that is invested heavily in its Newcastle site, a recognised Centre of Excellence producing high-quality printed materials for major consumer brands. What you’ll be doing
* Keeping production lines running efficiently through planned and reactive maintenance
* Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults
* Identifying and implementing process and line improvements
* Supporting project work and equipment upgrades
* Monitoring downtime and performance, helping drive improvements
* Working closely with production and external suppliers
What we’re looking for
* A multi-skilled engineer with both mechanical and electrical experience
* Ideally 5+ years in a manufacturing environmentSomeone who takes pride in doing things properly and improving how things run
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting
* A team player who can also work independently when needed
This isn’t a role where you’ll just be ticking boxes or constantly chasing breakdowns. You’ll be trusted to take ownership, contribute ideas, and play a part in improving how the site operates.
