The Role
At Ironmongery Plus, we get a lot of enquiries from trade professionals through our website. We are looking for a friendly, organised person to turn these initial leads into long-term, happy customers. You won’t be "cold calling", you’ll be talking to people who have already reached out to us. Your goal is to guide them through their first experience with us and make sure we become their go-to supplier for all their future Ironmongery needs.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Managing Enquiries: Following up with new trade contacts who have contacted us through our website.
* Building Relationships: Acting as the main point of contact for your clients, ensuring they get great customer service and want to keep coming back.
* Staying Organised: Keeping a clear record of your conversations and following up on every enquiry so nothing is missed.
* Growing Accounts: Proactively checking in with your customers to see how we can help with their upcoming projects.
What We’re Looking For
* A Great Communicator: You enjoy talking to people on the phone and can build a natural rapport with trade professionals.
* Attention to Detail: You are disciplined with your admin and make sure all customer information and history are kept up to date.
* Tech-Savvy: You’re comfortable using computers and digital systems daily. Experience with software like QuickBooks is a plus, but not essential.
* Reliable & Proactive: You take pride in providing a professional, efficient service that keeps customers loyal.
