JRS Associates have partnered up with an exciting engineering business to recruit a skilled CAD / CAM Programmer (EdgeCAM) to strengthen their programming team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced programmer with Mazak machining knowledge to join a highly respected manufacturing operation working on precision‑engineered components.
Package
* £17.70 – £21.24 per hour (including shift allowance)
* Days: Monday–Friday, 5:30am – 2:00pm
* Afters: Monday–Thursday, 2:00pm – 12:00am

Requirements
* Proven experience as a CAD / CAM Programmer, ideally using EdgeCAM
* Strong background programming Mazak CNC machinery (Nexus, VTC, Integrex, Quick Turn etc.)
* Ability to create, modify and optimise CNC programmes for milling and / or turning
* Confident importing drawings / 3D models and selecting the correct machining strategies
* Skilled in defining tooling, cutting data, work‑holding and machining sequences
* Capable of running simulations and collision checks prior to production
* Able to work closely with CNC Setters / Operators during first‑off inspections
* Strong understanding of CNC machining principles and tight‑tolerance engineering
* Good problem‑solving skills and the ability to support the shop floor
* Excellent documentation habits, including setup sheets and tooling lists
Desirable
* Experience with SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Mastercam or similar CAD / CAM tools
* Knowledge of fixture / jig design or tooling optimisation
* Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives
