In this role, you will manage several major infrastructure projects from initial enquiry through to post-investment appraisal. You will ensure successful pre and post-contract management of all projects, exceeding customer expectations. Your projects will likely cover all three UKPN Networks, with an initial focus on the EPN area. Typical clients include National Grid, National Highways, Network Rail, and HS2. You will work on a diverse range of schemes, from diversions across all voltage levels to providing new supplies for construction works and long-term power solutions. You will be responsible for managing projects throughout their lifecycle, including liaising with Asset Management to develop strategies, producing compliant quotations, and ensuring regulatory adherence. You will coordinate with the Capital Programme delivery team and delivery partners to price and deliver solutions effectively. Financial control of projects, design compliance with CDM, and maintaining strong customer relationships will be key aspects of your role. You will also engage with various departments within the company to ensure consistent and appropriate strategies are in place. To succeed in this role, you should have a degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, recent project management experience in the electrical industry, and a good understanding of the LV, HV, and EHV networks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and experience with Project Governance and Control processes will be advantageous. Your ability to present to external customers and senior management, coupled with a customer-friendly attitude, will ensure your success in this role.
